in being on the show?
All types of acts
are encouraged to apply for auditions for the show.
This is a "variety show" which means that
anything from Rock Bands to Country Bands, Blues
Bands, Jazz Bands, Solo Artists, Jugglers, Comedians,
Unicyclists, Flea Shows, Dog Shows, Cat Shows, Lion
Tamers, Magicians, Choirs, and just about anything
else that you can think of, are welcome to apply.
There is no age limit to apply but if you are under
18 we ask for a parental (or Guardian) consent form
to be signed. All we need from you is a Myspace,
Facebook or other site with your Video and or Audio
files on it. We may also use a promotional package
with pictures, video and/or audio (DVD's, CD's or
files may be emailed), a short biography and description
of what your act consists of as well as contact
information and website if you have one. Please
email us first with a detailed description of your
act, age, and desired method of submittal and we
will contact you with instructions. All we ask is
that your act is family friendly. This means no
vulgar language, no offensive material, no offensive
clothing... you get the picture. Just keep it "TV
viewable".
Those chosen for
live auditions, you will perform in front of a live
audience in The Ohio Building on The Ohio State
Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio on a predetermined
date. Bands may perform up to 4 songs, approximately
3 minutes each, for a total time not to exceed 15
minutes. Other acts will get up to 15 minutes total
time.There may be exceptions to this rule. Each
audition will be judged on criteria such as Talent,
Stage Show, Originality and Audience Interaction
(so bring your friends!) as well as others. Acts
chosen from the live audition stage will compete
in the final audition stage, from which the top
three winners will be chosen to perform on the TV
show. The average allotted time for an act on the
TV show will be no longer than 3 minutes. You will
need to sign a release form before the audition,
giving V.V.Smith Productions Ltd. the right to use
your recorded performance and likeness for any promotional
purposes. Any original content that you bring to
the show (ie. original music, comedy routines etc.)
will remain the sole property of the original owner.
We will only use your performance and likeness for
the show and show related promotion. We will not
use your material for any other purpose.
